I’m at lvl 21 and I want to throw a birthday party for my sims but all it says is: Name hasent earned a new trait this week and it doesn’t even give me any information on why I can’t do a birthday party or what to do! Please help!

Create a new Sim to age up in the Main starting house. When birthday icon appears, throw a birthday party. Other party types open afterwards.

Parties can only be hosted once a week but only at starting house and if the Sim still needs a trait to trigger Party.

I never get that option to throw a party and I’m level 40! :(

Me too and im level 30 and have never had that option to throw a party, It's so annoying!!

you should be able to. Click on the little arrow on the right side and choose the `Balloon icon`tab.

Make sure your Sim isn`t doing any activities.

You need to retire a Sim or buy into another sim & choose a trait. Make sure you have the party soon or you will lose your chance to have a birthday party. After that party you can start having other type of parties.

I waited a long time to have a party too. I ended up retiring a Sim & choosing a new trait, was able to throw my birthday party. Was a little sad about loosing my sim, but it was worth it. Wish I knew how to screen shot her before I retired her.

I love throwing parties, sometimes they don't go as planned. Meet lots of new friends, chatting makes it even better. You may be chatting with someone on other side of the world. Only wish could have parties more frequently.

How to unlock hosting a party:
Attend 2 party, and complete both reaching party level 10 each using party cakes.

After collecting rewards from each party, the blue button "host party" should now be available.

How to earn party cake:
By attending popular parties that levels up by itself.

How to know if its a popular party:
All your sims character will be an idle attendees on the front page of the party prior to hitting "attend"

Why does popular party level up by itself fast:
Because other sim players makes so much interaction with each other that it keeps the party keep leveling up by itself. Benefiting each other.

Okay I love this game level 40, 8 rooms in my home currently about to expand the home. Here’s my issue: I am hosting a party today, currently trying to set stuff up for the party, i received the message stating that I had to much stuff, needed to remove some things in order to finishing set up, bs! Left the game to put up this comment and now my party is gone! It had only just been started, what is going on!!!
