Acquaintance is Sims that knows you slightly, but not totally your friend nor stranger to you. This is a Level 1 relationship in the game. A stranger Sims can be an acquaintance once you start a single interaction with them. Every Sims can be an acquaintance, however; there is no benefit in doing that.
