Age up babies?

So I've had this baby for about a week give or take, and I can't figure out how to age it up? I've been doing all the bundle of joy events, and it's good upbringing trait is full, but I figure out how to age it up into a toddler.

Just wait until they have a blue birthday cake above their head then click on it and age them up

well I heard that putting a family portrait on top of tv grow up toddlers. You'll see a birthday bubble above the children head.

when the birthday icon is above the head of the child click on that. it will show icon of people and it will age to a toddler.
