There doesn't seem to be any icon to move my furniture... Is it even possible to move any furniture once is placed?

All you have to do is touch the piece of furniture you want to move, hold down until the blue arrow pops up, and drag the piece of furniture to the designated area.

You hold on to the peice of furniture you want to move until it let's you move it

Touch and hold the item for a bit, it will give a little jump and an arrow shows up. You can then drag the item.
