The Sims Mobile Team surprises us with a new event to commemorate the Independence Day of USA which is annually celebrated every fourth of July.
The event "Summer Backyard Barbeque" was announced and released without any teaser just yesterday, July 4th. This will last only for the next 7 days, so make sure to make the most of it!.
This event have the same format with the previous event “World of Luxury”, wherein you will collect Lemon Slices by doing tasks related to the event. You will use those Lemon Slices to open Summer Ice Chest with a reward. Each chest cost 250 Lemon Slices. You can also buy one Sweet Refreshments Basket for 75 SimCash, however that is not suggested since reward in each basket or chest is random.
Every Summer Ice Chest or Sweet Refreshments Basket contains one or more of reward item such as Simoleons, Simcash, Fashion Gems and various Tickets.
You’ll also have an opportunity to get some limited reward item like summer themed furniture and clothing. The best reward listed is the Summer BBQ Grill Deluxe which is perfect for your outdoor space.
"What's that sound, coming from the ground?"
To start with, tap on a potted plant at home and perform the action "Search for existence of gnomes". You can also do that in flower vases. To complete this part, you have to do this for 10 times. Each one will cost you 3 Energy points. You can perform this action with different playable Sims you have in your household.
"Sprinkle the drink to and fro, attract things with gnome where to go"
Tap on potted plants or flower vases at home and perform the action "Sprinkle with gnome's favorite drink". Your Sim will use a sprinkler to water these plants. You have to do this five times to complete the task.
"Place a tray of drinks and wash down the summer stinks."
This one is the easiest part of the quest. All you have do is place the Summer Drink Tray you received as a reward from the previous task somewhere in your Home.
"Search for experts that makes you think about improvements to your drink."
Travel first to the Cafe located in the Parkside. Tap on the lemon icon and initiate the special event "Sample summer drink specials". This may takes time to complete, but you can speed up the timer by using your cupcakes or your hard-earned SimCash. You can re-do this special event after 7 hours.
"Mix and swish, a special dish, find the gnomes secret wish."
The main goal for this part is to complete another special event just like the previous one. This time, it will be started at Home. You just need to simply tap on the Summer Drink Tray, Stove or Fridge and select the special event "Experiment with summer recipes". This event will last for almost 6 hours. Impatient players can use their cupcakes or SimCash to speed up the progress.
"Spend some sweet citrus wheels, to acquire something that will make you squeal!"
At this point, we're pretty sure you already have more than a thousand of these Lemon Slices. Tap the live event button ( lemonade mason jar icon in the top right corner ) and spend at least a total of 925 Lemon Slices on the Summer Ice Chest. Like we've mentioned, rewards are random. You might get the same object so keep on trying!
"Nearly there, don't despair, why not try some summer drinks with flair?"
This part is just the same with the fourth part. You just have to wait for at least 4 hours to replenish and to re-do the event. You can do some other stuff in the game and earn Lemon Slices while waiting.
"Now combine my secret find, the gnomes will soon be mine!"
Firstly, go home and tap the Stove, Fridge or Summer Drink Tray. Start the event "Experiment with summer recipes". Aside from the cupcakes and SimCash, performing Risk Actions can give you event points if successful. Traits also play a part in every event so utilize it.
"The gnomes desire a lot of fluff, so fill your yard with lots of summer stuff!"
Quest Reward: 220 Lemon Slices
The last part of this quest is another spending task similar with Part 6th. This time, you need to use at least 1,400 Lemon Slices on Summer Ice Chest. You can only conclude this part of the quest upon reaching the required amount.
After completing the whole quest, you'll be receiving these three gnome decorations. You can see these rewards in the Home Catalog under Build Category. This is perfect for your outdoor spaces.
The event will conclude today, but you still have 3 days to redeem rewards using your Lemon Slices or use SimCash.
