Next relationship level won’t unlock

I’ve worked it out. If you’re at home when you’re pressing start event it won’t work. I have four children on the game and it won’t let me. If you take your sim to park side or market square then call over the significant other, because you’re out the house it will let you begin the chapter. Hope this helps

could someone help me too? i was trying to level up my relationship in sims but it wouldnt let me no matter how much i press start event.

I have the same problem... How did you dice solve it?? Please help

Make sure your not in any current events in order to do relationship events with that sim.
Also there isn't a divorce option, I think since your meant to retire them after a week instead of keeping them forever they didn't make one. But rival, romance and friendship actions all increase the meter. There isn't any decrease.

I am married to a another player and I do want to be anymore. I have been doing the rival communication and still no divorce option comes up. Suggestions?
