Why can't I propose to a sim without a blue diamond/ask a sim without a blue diamond to move in?

I want a sim to move in that's not owned by another player but I don't have the option to do that. I've previously asked a different sim to move in but there's been no response. I also want to know why I can't propose?

I think once your relationship reaches a certain level with the non player sim, there will be an option to propose. Once you marry the non player sim, that sim will automatically move into your household as a non-active sim.

i am on level 10 with tainted love and I can't propose and I had a baby with them. The sim I want to propose to doesn't have a blue diamond

I’m having the same problem. I’m trying to propose to someone and we have level 10 soulmate connection, but it still doesn’t give me the option. We have had a baby, just can’t have them live with me. Best of luck figuring it out!

You must be high enough in the relationship story to move the sim in and must have a story line to fall in love to propose to your sim

I was able to propose to a sim without a blue diamond with two of my sims. It’s possible. You have to reach a certain level in your relationship and then one of the relationship events will be “Propose.”
