Finished barista career but quest is not complete?

I'm having the same problem. The heirloom thing I already know the answer to though. I believe you get that when your sim passes on. Your sim ages in this game and I believe the game revolves around generations and things passed down from one to the other. I'm trying to complete as much as I can with my two sims before I have them make a baby, get married, retire. Apparently you must do something worthwhile, like completing a career, with a sim before you retire it to get good heirlooms. Good luck!

Also having this issue. I want to move on to medical career but can’t because this won’t let me finish the barista one. Ugh.
