You have to reach level 16 to retire and as soon as you retire your children who are old enough to be adults will grow up. As soon as I levelled up to level 16 two of my children immediately grew into adults and I retired! REMEMBER you need to level up to level 16!

They grow directly into adults - there are no teens in the game. From my experience (lvl 36) it seems like it takes about 12 hours for a baby to grow up, 24 for a toddler to child, and 24-36 for child to adult. Interacting with your kids helps, but only to a certain point. Just make sure you talk to them and praise them every once in a while - doing it 100 times in a row won’t get it done faster.
If it’s been 5 days, something is wrong - likely a bug in the game. I’d contact EA if I were you, because no growing up should ever take that long. In fact, if your sim is constantly occupied, you can retire an adult sim in 4-5 days!

I don’t know

It depends on how much time you spend sith them or on the game
If you spend less time therfore your toddler whill stay until you spend more time with he/she.it usually takes 3 to 4 days
For children it usually takes 1 week

I was wondering that too! It’s been so long! And I keep interacting with them, they don’t age up! It’s been like 2 weeks!
