Breaking up engaged sims

How do I break up engaged sims? I don’t own the sim she’s engaged to. I’ve been doing rival actions for days and no option to break up has come up.

Marry them and then change their relationship to enemies then a divorce event pops up finish the event and then they're divorced.

You can't break up with someone. Just start a new relationship
