So I’m dating the waiter that works at the restaurant, and I’m wondering if I can ever have him be my sim or if I should just date someone else? Like would he be able to be my sim if he moved in or when we got married?

Yes! You can control him if he moves in. I have done this with a staff member of the cafe and I can control her.

It’s possible to control an NPC once you marry them and they move into your house. The important thing is: when they move into your house you must have an avalible “sim slot” to receive the NPC that is moving in. Then it will open a screen asking if you want to play with then or not. Hope it helped :D
