Can I control my daughter/son?

After 1 of my sim retire,can my children replace the playable sim apot? You know, customize them. Make them go to work etc.

The game should make a big sims 4 update (that includes not doing any quests for babies and marriage and making children playable when they are toddlers and make them all go to school and add infants and teens
