Child grows up and leaves house?

So yeah, my sims had a baby, and when he aged up from a child, he was a stranger to his parents and has no relationship. Is that normal?

Kind of it’s probably because you didn’t have a strong unough relationship with your kid and he moved out or your game may have glitched
