no happiness bar

i'm on android and i have no happiness bar. in fact, my screen layout looks nothing like all the screenshots i see on here. (i'd post a pic but i get an error message each time). how can i gauge how happy my sims are for heirlooms if i have no bar? the fact that happiness level is a thing does explain why there's all these interactions with objects that do seemingly nothing...

Most of the screenshots were uploaded when the game was soft-loaded in Brazil. The game is much different now. I am using Apple and have no happiness bar, and the layout is different for me as well. (I too, have an error message for screenshots.) I think that there isn’t one - I’ve consulted friends who use both platforms and they say the same thing. You will have to rely on the darkness/color of your plumbob; I know it’s not much advice, but I think everyone has the same problem.
