How to Max Sim’s Traits/Retire?

I don’t know I’m on level 18 but haven’t been able to retire my sims

I want to retire my sim, I’m level 16 and have maxed out my traits. But it won’t let me

You are able to retire after you get your last trait

Once you have all four traits you can retire. The option won’t come up immediately though

They’ll be ready randomly after you max them and other things ppl said

You retire by working a lot by completing activity’s. You must be level 16 or higher for this to work you sim(sims)must go to work a lot and participate in activities at the park or any other place for this to work

This is not accurate, one of my sims wanted to retire but I checked and she hasn't maxed out any of her traits!I am not sure what makes them ready to retire since she hasn't even finished her career story and my other sim who has hasn't requested retirement yet

Sorry for so many of them...but I need an answer quick!
